Jamie Burrows
Welcome! My name is Jamie Burrows. I have created this portfolio to share my educational achievements and insight with others.
I was born and raised in Cape May County, New Jersey, a place that I hold near and dear to my heart. I still reside here and am raising my family in the same area in which I grew up.
In 2007 I graduated from Thomas Edison State College with my Batchelor of Science in Business Administration with a track in Marketing. I decided that I wanted to become a teacher and completed the New Jersey Pathways to Teaching Program through New Jersey City University. In September 2008, I was hired in the the Career and Technology Education Department at Millville Senior High School in Millville, New Jersey. Ten years later I am still here and very happy to be a member of such a wonderful district.
In November 2014 I was elected onto my local Board of Education. I am happy to be contributing to my community and feel that my professional experience has assisted the board. Through this position, I have gained new insight into the world of education. I have been afforded opportunities to take part in a variety of experiences that have allowed me to expand my understanding of the educational system far beyond the classroom.
I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Technology through New Jersey City University in 2017. While earning my degree I fulfilled the necessary requirements for a New Jersey Educational Supervisor Certificate. I received my Supervisor Certification in August of 2017.
I recently completed the NJ Excel program to earn my Principal Certification - July 2018.
